While many wish 2020 never happened and just skip straight forward to 2021, Trang Nguyen looked at 2020 as the year of much-needed change and a true blessing in disguise. 

She and her fiancé had a retail business distributing high-end skincare products and facial in-home treatment systems in tradeshows and huge public events. Their business did well - over a million dollars a year - but with extremely high over-head costs, which yielded them less than 20% net profit for all their hard work and extensive traveling. 

She has been looking to develop a side business online for a couple years now but was uncertain to take the first step. She wanted something that she could do to make money from home or even while she’s traveling for leisure, with low over-head costs, and no more products/inventories to deal with. 

Then the pandemic hit, shutting down their business in just a matter of days. That was like a sign that it’s time for her to make this move!

Trang found herself doing Doordash and Grubhub to keep herself busy and bringing in at least something rather than nothing. She learned about affiliate marketing through Youtube videos but she needed more than that. The year of 2020 was tough for Gunnar Peters as it was for many others due to Covid-19. While in quarantine, Peters was forced to close two of his traditional businesses. That's when Peters decided right then and there, he needed to figure out a different way of making money.
